Dr. Edward L. Salerno, M.D., brings an impressive blend of academic excellence and professional expertise to Millennium Physician Group. A cum laude Philosophy graduate from Brooklyn College, Dr. Salerno earned his medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine in Grenada. He honed his skills during an internship and residency at the University of Connecticut, where he was named Intern of the Year and received the Maxwell O. Phelps Award for scholarship. Following a year as Chief Medical Resident at Hartford Hospital, Dr. Salerno completed a fellowship in pulmonary/critical care medicine at U Conn Health. With a career spanning over two decades, Dr. Salerno has held roles as Pulmonary Director at Hartford Hospital and Assistant Medical Director at Gaylord Specialty Healthcare. He also served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at U Conn, mentoring the next generation of medical professionals. Board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary critical care, and sleep medicine, Dr. Salerno's dedication to patient care and education has earned him accolades like the Aldo Bellucci Teaching Award. Millennium is proud to have him on the team.
